Ceramic / Sculptural Work

Ceramics is an extension of my artistic practice, allowing me to explore material, form and texture through a more tactile and three-dimensional approach. My earlier ceramic works explore the relationship between functional forms and sculptural expression, with an emphasis on organic shapes, surface textures and the natural characteristics of clay.

For my solo exhibition, FORM . RESIDUE, I developed a body of ceramic works inspired by earth and stone. Through hand-built vessels, sculptural objects and installations, I explore irregular forms and textured surfaces that reflect the material qualities of the natural world. Together, these works reflect my continuing interest in the possibilities of clay, moving between function and sculpture while maintaining a connection to nature, materiality and process.
